TPD Image Copyright Pro will write metadata into an image as well as allow you to watermark your image with text and/or an image. Today I released version 1.1.9 of Video Grabber. This version contains multiple languages which include: English, German, Spanish, French, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, Dannish, andDutch. These translation were provided by translation.google.com so if they are wrong, blame google :). I also changed the logic to detect more videos. Enjoy

I had a customer state that they were not able to save a video from YouTube. After further investigation I noticed that some changes needed to be made in Video Grabber. A new version, 1.1.7, is out there now and should be better at detecting videos watched on YouTube.

Today I fixed a bug that I noticed while deleteing a video from the list. What was happening was when you deleted a video it was deleting the wrong row in the grid but that right video from the computer. I also fixed an issue where Video Grabber would not work on 64bit OS's, that issue is fixed too.

Duplicate File Finder has been updated to version 1.1.4 and includes that ability to specify custom file types for search. I've also fixed a bug that occurs when running on Windows Vista and Windows 7 where search would stop scanning and just hang. I've also added some extra checks for missing information before scan starts.

I released Video Grabber version 1.1.3 today. This release fixes an issue that I discovered today while trying to play a video. Seems Google / YouTube changed something with the way their videos are encoded and it prevented them from playing on the old plugin. Version 1.1.3 requires you to have VLC Media Player installed on your PC, but rest assured this is a FREE player and the program will tell you if you need it. It will also provide links to the download page so you can download and install it. Enjoy!

Vista's built-in screen capture feature performs OK, but if you want more control over your screenshots, this little utility may fit the bill.
Screen Shot Pro loads in your system tray and can be configured to run at start-up. A context menu provides options for setting up the program, taking captures, or opening the directory in which it stores captures.
This utility performed well in our tests, and was very easy to use, making it a good tool for novices. We liked that we could configure the output in JPEG, PNG, and BMP formats and could adjust the quality of images. Setting the hot key combination and storage directory also was a snap, as was choosing an option for having a sound effect play with the screen capture.
Screen Shot Pro doesn't offer a lot of bells and whistles, but it provides more options than the default Print Screen feature that arrives with Vista. If you frequently need to take screenshots, you'll want to give this utility a try. The trial period is a short seven days, but that's long enough to determine whether this tool's extras are worth the price.

I fixed a bug that was reported by a customer that affect Windows XP Service Pack 3 users, did some code clean up so the program will perform better and changed the the Next Image, Previous Image options to use the Ctrl + Left Arrow and Ctrl + Right Arrow to change backgrounds. Previously it was Shift + Arrow, I changed this because if you selected text with your keyboard using this key combination it would also change your desktop background.

I've enhanced the Video Grabber today. I've added the ability to view videos before you save them. Also, when you save the video it now places the video into a video library where you will be able to sort, filter, update and delete videos and their information. I have been monitoring error reports all day today and have fixed two minor issues with the last release. It appeared that the Wallpaper Rotator did not work correctly on Windows XP Service Pack 3. This is due to some changes that Microsoft has made for security reasons in the service pack. I have added a workaround to the Wallpaper Rotator and it now will work as expected.

New Keycode system for programs

I have updated all software to include a key code system and wanted to explain how this works as some customers are confused as what to do. Here is a detailed list of steps you need to perform to use our new software:
1. If you have an older version of one of our programs installed you will need to uninstall it.
2. Visit our site and go to the product page for the program(s) you have purchased.
3. Download and install the free version of the program.
4. Once you have installed the free version go to the "My Downloads" page in the "My Account" section of our website.
5. You will see a list of the programs you have purchased along with a key code. If this key code does not exist then click the "Generate New Key" button
6. Now that a key code is listed for your product, go ahead and copy it by highlighting the key code, right click and choose copy
7. Now return to your program, open it up and make sure you can see the main screen of the program. At the top will be a menu option that reads "Unlock this Program", click this option.
8. A registration window will open, paste the key code into the text box and click "Unlock" and wait for a message. Once the message appears you will need to close the program and restart it.
9. Once you restart the program the full version will be unlocked.
Please be advised that for each key code you generate you will be able to unlock the program you bought only twice... two times per keycode. We do this to prevent piracy. If for some reason you need to generate a new key code then you will need to re-register your products again with the registration server, see steps 1-9 above. If you create a new key code and do not re-register your programs then eventually they will lock themselves again and will revert back to the free version. If you have any questions about this process or need extra help do not hesitate to contact me directly. Thank you for your time and patience.

I added the ability to perform a search based on file names. So now you have two ways to search your computer for duplicate files, Name search and Byte Search. I also improved the search algorithm so you should now have better results when performing either search. Also, I added the abiltiy for the program to automatically check for updates when you start it up. This can, of course, be turned off if you do not want this feature. Make sure to check the feature comparison chart for more details.

Thats right 1 Terrabyte, thats 1,000 Gigabytes, 100,000 Megabytes or a whole lotta bytes. Since we started keeping track of the Picture Resizer stats on 4/29/2007, 1 Terrabyte of images has been processed using our program. I don't even have that much space on my hard drive. Hmmm, better upgrade. Thanks to all that love it and use it.
Re-release - Halo Dedicated Server INI File Builder

Halo Dedicated Server INI File Builder has been brought back from the dead. This was one of our first products on our site and was removed when Halo 2 was released for PC. Of course it stayed on the site because customers still needed to download their purchased copies. It turns out that the move to Halo 2 hasn't been what we expected it to be. Probably because of the whole Vista thing. So without adieu, here's Halo Dedicated Server INI File Builder.

A customer asked if I could add the ability to change the desktop background using a keyboard key combination. Well in version 1.0.2, if you press Shift + Left Arrow or Shift + Right Arrow you can loop through your images changing the background. Just remember, if you ask for it, and we can manage it, we'll do it.

I've added a new feature to the Picture Resizer yesterday. You can now resize by aspect ratio. What's this you ask? Say you want an image to be 250 pixels wide but you don't want to have to do the math to figure out the height. Well just use the aspect ratio resize selection, put in 250 in the box for width and let the program figure out the height. You can also do this for the height and have it figure out the width. This will keep your aspect ratio of the image will still giving you a great looking picture.

This is a great little tool if you are a DBA or a developer that uses SQL. Creating insert statements for scripts that you pass on to other developers or for installation packages has always been a pain in the butt. You have to hand code every line in every table you want to distribute, and, Microsoft SQL Server doesn't include this in any of their SQL Server releases. Well now you can create those scripts with ease. Just choose the database, choose your tables and click Create Script. That's it! As easy as 1,2,3.

Here's a nifty little program that I designed to aid in the resizing of digital images. The idea was given to me in an email from CodeProject.com. Another programmer was explaining how he designed an image resizing program to scale his images to conserve space on his laptop while traveling. So I set out to make my own because I thought it was a cool idea. This program took my 8GB of family photos and scaled them to a mere 1GB without any image quality loss! Thats a huge savings on space. You just select the directory that the pictures you want resized are in. Select the output directory (where you want them to go). Set your aspect ratio (default to 60% of original) and click Process and watch all your images resize in front of your eyes. What if I don't like the resized images, you say? Well that's okay, just delete the output directory and start again. This program leaves the originals alone so you can play with the sizing until you get it just the way you want it. Then once you are happy, replace the originals with the resized images and blam, there you go. This is a must have program for anyone who has large digital photos on their computer and wants to save space.

Halo Dedicated Server Init File Builder was designed to aid in the setup and deployment of dedicated server games. With out this program you will have to know how to add/change/remove entries from the Halo Dedicated Server init file. With this program you do not need to know anything about it. Just fill out the form add/remove the games and game types you'd like to play and click the Create Init File button and you're on your way. This program is a must have for anyone that runs a dedicated server for Halo.
